Co-Ed Travel (Mite-Bantam)

Mites: Ages 6-8

Squirts: Ages 9-10

Pee Wees: Ages 11-12

Bantams: Ages 13-14

The season runs from September to March with tryouts in March.

All practices are held at the Kasabuski Arena in Saugus.

Games are held at various rinks as scheduled by the Valley Hockey League.

Most Mite games are held at Kasabuski.

There are two team practices a week at Kasabuski Arena in Saugus.

Additionally, there is a weekly skills session on Thursdays for all ages with Driscoll Skating & Skills.

Goalies train weekly at Kasabuski with Shield Goalie Academy.

Valley Hockey League (VHL) games start in early September and run through March. Mite teams play 25 games per season plus playoffs. Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam teams play 35 league games plus playoffs.

Most teams participate in additional tournaments that are outside of the VHL (cost not included in tuition), which are organized by the coaches or managers of the individual teams (examples: Bruins Holiday Tournament, Jay Peak, Lake Placid, Waterville, Cape Cod).

Each Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget team can participate in the Mass Hockey State Tournament.

Home and away jerseys, socks and pant shells or red pants are required for each player.

Cost for jerseys, shells and socks are additional to the annual tuition fee and are purchased through our apparel provider, Todd's Sporting Goods in Beverly.

Saugus Lynnfield Hockey subsidizes 50% of the cost of game jerseys, socks and pant shells.

There is a non-refundable $150 fee to register for tryouts as a full-time player. After rosters are posted, you will be charged $300-400 in March to secure your player's roster spot.

You will then begin paying the balance of your player's tuition, depending on the payment plan.

Full season tuition costs vary by level but are $1,950 for Mites and $2,350 for Squirt-Bantam in the 2024-25 season.

Full-time goalies at the Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam levels are given a tuition discount to offset the cost of equipment and external training/coaching.

At the Mite level, there are no full-time goalies as the players will rotate each week in order to expose as many to the position as possible.
